Breaking the Limitation of Storyline & Captivate.

I have experienced eLearning development for about 4 years. Since I have knowledge in web design and development skills this came natural to me since pretty much well known Learning Management System like example Moodle is based on standard web development language.

My philosophy in delivering learning contents is to keep it simple. Simple as possible and give student freedom how they wish to progress their learning content.

2nd Generation Itrain using Moodle with Bootstrap framework. Goal for this upgrade on Itrain is to support mobile devices and updating to more modern look to the site. Removing Flash elements and updating content so it mobile friendly.

LMS Experienced

I’ve lived and breathed Moodle for 4 years as an administrator and developer. I have designed and developed custom modules and themes for Moodle. I’m not limited to Storyline and Captivate.

3rd generation of Itrain. Moodle with Google’s Material Design-Lite framework. Since the company was introducing new Android learning department Material Design language was used to keep it consistent with Google’s new design language.

It worked out so well that many other departments were converted with this theme and many other projects use this design language.

Overcoming limitations

Sometimes when your developing eLearning content via Storyline & Captivate your limited to its constraints. Having web development skills this will help break Storyline & Captivate limitations.

Skill Assessment

Custom built registration and assessments system with another developer. Design and front end interaction was created by me following the Itrain 3.0 and Google Material Design language trend. Since everything was built from scratch the project was extremely light weight.

Assessment had standard multiple choice questions and drag and drop system for certain questions.

National Drones

National Drones Institute eLearning platform. Moodle was used for delivering learning contents. It was heavily modified to suit National Drones needs. Learning contents was created using Storyline and Videos.
